Tenby's inshore lifeboat was launched shortly before 11am on Tuesday (August 2) after a report that a sailing dinghy with one person aboard was in difficulty in choppy seas off Coppet Hall.

The volunteer crew made best speed to the area and upon arriving on scene, discovered that the dinghy, which had capsized, was under tow by another vessel which happened to be in the area, with the occupant now safely aboard the vessel.

The lifeboat crew righted the vessel before taking both it and its occupant back to Saundersfoot.

Once the casualty and his dinghy were safely ashore, the lifeboat returned to the station.
