POLICE and Crime Commissioner Dafydd Llywelyn is launching his next Community Scrutiny Panel in Haverfordwest and is inviting members of the public to get involved.

The panel will take place in Haverfordwest on December 3, between 4pm and 7pm.

Deadline for applications is November 13.

Panel members will independently review police contact with the public in a transparent and impartial way. Volunteers will scrutinise the quality of police interactions, the ethical use of police powers and the service being delivered to communities.

The panel acts as an independent public voice, providing views and recommendations to Dyfed-Powys Police to help strengthen transparency, accountability and the public confidence in policing.

It presents an opportunity to get involved in independent police scrutiny, help influence improvements in police practice, gain real life skills and experience, and to present the views of the public.

No previous experience is required. Training and guidance will be provided. Location will be disclosed to all successful applicants.
