Dyfed-Powys Police has confirmed that sadly, a fisherman has died after being rescued from the water in Pembrokeshire yesterday afternoon.
Emergency services including Angle RNLI’s lifeboat crew, coastguards and air rescue were alerted to reports of a man in the water near the port of Milford Haven at around 3 pm, on Thursday, May 1.
A police spokesperson said: “Dyfed-Powys Police was called at approximately 3pm, Thursday May 1, to Milford Haven Port, following a report of a man having been rescued from the water, approx. one mile off the coast.
“Sadly, the man has passed away. Police are working in co-operation with the Marine Accident Investigation Branch and Maritime and Coastguard Agency, to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
