Dyfed-Powys Police is appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision this morning in Pembrokeshire, which resulted in a cyclist being airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries, and the driver of a van arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and driving an unfit vehicle.
The RTC involved a van and a cyclist on the A40 near Llanddewi Velfrey at around 8.10am this morning (August 22).
A police spokesperson said: “The cyclist was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries. The road is closed for collision investigation and is expected to remain closed for some time.
“One man, aged 33, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and driving an unfit vehicle. He remains in police custody at this time.”
