A road traffic collision where a car overturned and one person trapped inside had to be cut free saw the main route in and out of Tenby blocked for over two hours yesterday (June 12).

The RTC involving two vehicles occurred on the A478 in Pentlepoir around the turning for Valley Road after 3 pm.

The incident caused long traffic delays with police closing off the road, and fire crews and paramedics in attendance at the scene at around 3.30 pm.

One person was conveyed to Glangwili Hospital in Carmarthen.

A spokesperson for the Welsh Ambulance Service saying: “We were called shortly before 3.30 pm on June 12 to reports of a road traffic collision in Pentlepoir, Saundersfoot.

“We sent three emergency ambulances and two Cymru high acuity response unit paramedics to the scene where one person was taken to Glangwili Hospital for further treatment.”
