A child was taken to hospital by air ambulance following a multi-vehicle accident near Tenby on Monday.

Four private motor vehicles were involved in the accident which occurred shortly after 1.30 pm on the B4318 road near Gumfreston.

Two females were trapped in separate vehicles.

Firefighters from Tenby and Pembroke Dock released the casualties using hydraulic cutting equipment and both were conveyed to hospital by the ambulance service. A child was also taken to hospital by air ambulance.

The police were also in attendance.
