A 5.8 metre cabin cruiser, which suffered engine failure off Benton Castle, near Lawrenny, on Saturday evening, was towed to safety by Angle RNLI’s all weather lifeboat.

The cabin cruiser was then at anchor close to the shore, so a tow was rigged before they recovered the anchor to prevent the casualty vessel drifting onto the rocks.
The cabin cruiser was taken to Burton and at 8.45 pm was berthed alongside the pontoon. The lifeboat was then released to return to her station, where she was rehoused at 9.30 pm.
