A Milford man has been given a driving ban after admitting getting behind the wheel whilst under the influence of cannabis.
Twenty-three-year-old Craig Walters, of Glebelands, Hakin, appeared at Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on Tuesday, to plead guilty to driving his Vauxhall Corsa with a quantity of the drug in his blood.
Prosecutor Abul Hussain told the court that police officers conducted a stop check on Mr. Walters’s vehicle on September 28, in Cherry Tree Close.
“Officers smelt cannabis from within the vehicle and the defendant admitted to recently smoking the drug. A roadside test proved positive and he was arrested,” he said.
Magistrates fined Mr. Walters £220 for the offence and disqualified him from driving for 12 months.
He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £85 and a £30 victim surcharge.
