Angle RNLI crew members were tasked to assist with a medical incident in Neyland.

At 2.44pm on Saturday (January 31) whilst afloat on an extended navigation exercise the crew were diverted to assist with a medical incident at Neyland Slipway.

With the crew off Milford Shelf at the time conducting navigation exercises, the lifeboat made best speed to Neyland and was soon on scene.

The lifeboat’s inflatable Y boat was deployed and casualty care trained crew members went ashore to assess and assist the casualty. Alongside Dale Coastguard Rescue Team and the Ambulance Service, the crew assisted with extracting the casualty from the slipway.

Once complete, the crew were stood down and the lifeboat returned to her berth, to be readied for further service.
