Police have reported the sudden death of a 64-year-old man off Saundersfoot Harbour; following an incident on Saturday afternoon, where emergency services were called to the scene.

Tenby’s RNLI lifeboat attended the scene, along with paramedics from the Welsh Ambulance Service, and the Wales Air Ambulance, but sadly the man has passed away before emergency services reached him.

A police spokesperson said: “Dyfed-Powys Police received a call for a concern for welfare of a 64-year-old-man at sea, near Saundersfoot Harbour at around 1.15pm on Saturday, September 5.

“Sadly, the man had died prior to the arrival of emergency services.

“The sudden death is being treated as non-suspicious.

“His family have been informed, and our thoughts remain with them at this difficult time.”
