The annual Pembrokeshire Primary Schools Cross Country Championships took place in the grounds of Oakwood Park last Friday. Some 800 children from 42 schools braved the chilly weather to compete for selection for the Dyfed Championships in Carmarthen in March.
Event organiser, Mr. Buckley, of Mary Immaculate School, said: "This annual event was again a great success. I would like to thank all the children who took part and am very grateful to all those who helped, particularly members of Pembrokeshire Harriers, pupils from Tasker Milward and Sir Thomas Picton Schools, who acted as hares, and Mrs. Corinne Codd.
"A special thank you goes to Oakwood for providing refreshments and making their grounds available for the course. Best of luck to all the winners for the Dyfed Championships."
