There's sure to be plenty of Saturday night fever going on in Saundersfoot when the village's Regency Hall is turned into a boogie wonderland for a '70s themed charity fundraiser in April.
Following the success of the 'Fat Barry's Soul Band' charity night held at the venue back in November when £2,500 was raised for Saundersfoot Playgroup and Saundersfoot School, the organisers Saundersfoot Festivities Association are hoping that this next fundraiser will be just as successful.
All profits from the night, which will be held on Saturday, April 12, will go towards the Gareth Scotcher Trust Fund Appeal and also to Saundersfoot School's sports department.
The evening which kicks-off at 7.45 pm will feature renowned tribute act 'The Pure Bee Gees' who won a national 'Stars in your Eyes' competition a few years ago. A disco will also be put on by DJ Billy as part of the entertainment.
In keeping with the '70s theme of the night, guests are encouraged to get into the swing of things by wearing fancy dress - with everything from flares, funny wigs and disco attire ideal for the occasion. Fancy dress is optional for the event, but those who choose not to dress up will be asked to kindly donate £1 to charity on the door.
"Costumes and '70s outfits and accessories can be hired at Griggles in Tenby and if they run out, contact Dylan Lawrence or Colin Murphy for some of their clothes!" joked organiser Chris Williams. "Tickets for the night must be bought beforehand and people are encouraged to purchase them early as tickets for the last event sold really quickly," he continued.
Tickets are available for purchase from today (Friday) from Saundersfoot Post Office, Saundersfoot Sports and Social Club, Evans Newsagents, Chris Brace at N. D. Toy and Partners in Tenby, Griggles in Tenby, Simon Rowell at Cross Roads Garage in Begelly, Sion Brace at Narberth RFC, Richard Jelly, of Pembroke RFC, and Luke and Lucy Lawrence. No tickets will be sold on the night at the door.
An extra bar will also be put on at the hall for the night.
