4th Tenby Guides celebrated the last meeting of term with a visit to Castle Beach.
En-route, they stopped to admire the floral display, in the form of the Guiding Trefoil, which was planted for the 90th birthday of 3rd Tenby Brownies and 4th Tenby Guides.
A game of rounders was followed by an ice-cream before returning to the hall for the end of year presentation of awards: the Lion patrol won the prize for the most patrol points gained during the year; Bethan, Hollie and Tegan won the Lt. Pegg Attendance Cup; Phoebe, Ella and Hollie were presented with badges as they are leaving Guides and moving up to Seniors. Phoebe was also presented with a photo album containing pictures of her time at Guides for her birthday. Young leader Annie was given a present for her trip to Sangam in India. Guider Kim received a wedding present of a Guide vase.
Unfortunately, the evening was also tinged with sadness as, after 40 years of being with the unit, Lt. Pegg has retired.
Guides will resume on Tuesday, September 10. In the meantime, if you would like to find out more about 4th Tenby Guides or get in touch, Guiders Mel, Kim and Sam are reachable at [email protected]">[email protected]
