At the November meeting of the Pembrokeshire Prospectors Society, held at the Cricket Club, Haverfordwest, the winning find in the Ancient Artefacts category was a horse pendant with the arms of Stephen Perrott, of Eastington, dating to 1489, found by Ted Owens.

Other Finds of the Month winners were:

Coins pre 1649 - Elizabeth I 3d 1575 - Paul Duffield.

Coins 1649 onwards - Louis XIV 3d 1674-1679 - Paul Duffield.

Modern Finds - Decorative small silver spoon - Bob Mackenzie.

Finds outside Pembs. - Lead farmers token cartwheel type 1700-1800 - Adrian Young.

Club search - Commemorative medallion George and Mary 1911 - Paul Duffield.

Members also competed in the Finds of the Year competition, which was judged by the chairman of the South Wales branch of the National Council for Metal Detecting, Ron Saunders. The results will be made known at the annual Christmas Dinner to be held on Saturday, December 6.

Also present at the meeting were Elaine and Tony Maz from Detecting Supplies, with a display of detectors, accessories, books etc.

The next meeting will start at 8 pm and will feature the Landsker quiz, hosted by James Giles.
