Harpist Leia Burge and radio presenter Aled Rhys Jones will feature at a Sunday lunch celebrating 10 years of fundraising for RABI’s Pembrokeshire Ladies. The lunch will take place on April 29 at Crug Glâs, near St. Davids.

Aled Rhys Jones, a farmer’s son from Cwrt-y-Cadno, is an accomplished after-dinner speaker who will share the speaking duties with RABI chairman, Malcolm Thomas MBE.

The Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI) supports farming people of all ages in financial difficulty. The charity gives out grants of around £2 million each year in Wales and England and much of the funding comes from public donations and events organised by volunteers, businesses, community groups and fundraising staff, in addition to legacies and investment income.

RABI regional manager for Wales, Linda Jones, said: “We’re proud of the support we can offer to farming families facing tough times and look forward to celebrating this milestone for our Pembrokeshire Ladies. This committee has worked extremely well together to raise more than £96k for the charity in Pembrokeshire during the last 10 years.”

Emily Davies, county chair, added: “The lunch on April 29 will be a special occasion and anyone wishing to get involved in what we do is welcome to come along and join us.”

Tickets for the 10th anniversary lunch cost £25 (three-course meal). Contact Hilary Raymond on 01348 831508 or Emily Davies on 07854 282343 to book or find out more information.
