The annual general meeting of the Narberth and District Pool League takes place this year on Thursday, August 26, at Narberth RAOB. Registrations will take place at 8 pm, with the meeting commencing at 8.30 pm.
All last year’s teams have already been handed their registration forms, so if there are any new teams hoping to join this season, please give secretary Colin Hallwood a ring on 07901772505 and a form will be sent straight away. If not, just turn up at the meeting.
The league’s first matches will take place on September 15, with a preliminary round of the team knockout on September 9.
NB: Just a reminder to anyone who would like to come and support some local players who are taking part in the national singles knockout at Eddie’s Snooker Club in Haverfordwest this Sunday. There’s four from the Narberth league and four from the Tenby league, along with boys from Llanelli, Carmarthen and Aberystwyth. The competition starts at 12.30 pm and will go on until around 7 pm.

Former world pool champion, Carl Morris is rolling into town, and will be making an appearance at Llanmiloe Social Club, Pendine, at 8 pm tomorrow (Saturday) to give the public a chance to beat one of the world’s leading pool players!
Carl Morris, who is profoundly deaf and has a hearing dog called Ingle, said: “Before I had Ingle, life wasn’t easy, especially as a professional pool player since I was always surrounded by groups of people, and I found it difficult.

There was a disappointing turnout of only 10 entries for the Pat Dart Three-a-Side Shield, played for at the Parsonage Inn, St Florence, on Friday, May 15.

Congratulations to Kilgetty RAOB A who became A League champions last week after their 7-2 win at the Hean.

The big match in the A League saw the Dragon A doing the double over Kilgetty RAOB A with a close 5-4 win, just about deserving the match after taking a 4-1 lead.
