MR. H. F. CARTER, MISS A. M. THOMAS-FERRAND

The wedding took place at St. James’s Church, Manorbier, on June 30, of Mr. Hugh Francis Carter and Miss Annabel Mary Thomas-Ferrand.
The groom, an operations manager, is the son of John and Rachel Carter, of Wells, Somerset, while the bride, a chef, is the daughter of John and Anne Thomas-Ferrand, of Penally.
Given away by her father, the bride wore a gown designed by Ellie and Charlotte (London) of ivory silk crepe with antique lace detailing and veil.
She was attended by flowergirls Julia Bevan (groom’s cousin) and Ursula Berry (bride’s cousin). Aged two and five years, they wore handmade bumble bee costumes.
Best man was Benny Carter (groom’s brother), while also in attendance were seven ushers.
The ceremony was conducted by Rev. Shirley Rayner, assisted by Dom Anthony Sutch who gave the address.
Organist was Tony Bevan, while director of music was David Bevan. The Bevan Family Choir sang, while musicians were Tom Heaven (trumpet), Tess Bevan and Leona Law (violins) and Michael Bevan (viola).
A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents at Oxland, Penally.
The couple, who honeymooned in Italy, visiting Naples, Capri, Tuscany and Venice, are making their home on M/V Noordkaap, The Thames, London.
