Firefighters’ Christmas concert benefits local charities

Money raised from the Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service’s annual carol service, which was held at Tenby’s St Mary’s Church, last Christmas, was presented to two worthy causes this week.
Steve Bryant, head of Pembrokeshire County Command, thanked everyone who had organised the service and supported it, along with Rev. Illtyd Prothero, before presenting to cheques for £206 each to the two charities that benefited from the event.
Phil Rees, RNLI Tenby lifeboat operations manager, accepted a cheque on behalf of the Tenby branch of the RNLI, while assistant chief officer with the Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service, Liz Aitken was presented with the donation to the Fire Fighters Charity.
