Spring beach clean at Amroth

By Observer Reporter in Environment

Simon Hart MP is pictured with local youngsters after taking part in a spring beach clean organised at Amroth Beach by Surfers Against Sewage representative Anna Strzelecki (also pictured) on Easter Sunday. Locals and visitors joined forces to collect more than 40 bags of rubbish, four wheels, a huge pallet and yards and yards of rope from the beach.

Local businesses had generously sponsored the event and children who found specially decorated pebbles that were hidden on the beach were rewarded with Easter eggs - if they had collected some rubbish too.

“Anna did a brilliant job in making this a real community event and the turnout was terrific,” said Mr. Hart. “It was lovely to see everyone pulling together and I hope that the Amroth beach clean and egg hunt can become a new Easter Sunday tradition.”
